About Paperback Textbook

Paperback Textbooks is a low profit student run group created to ease the lives of other students. We know how unpleasant it is to be short on cash and time while also in need of textbooks that's why we set up this website to help our peers. Our website is very simple and we have no warehouses or store fronts to keep costs as low as possible for you students.

Paperback textbooks are often labeled as "International Student Edition" (ISE) or "International Edition" (IE) books and are officially sanctioned by publishers. These text books are not cheap photocopies, rather they are cheaper and lighter versions of the same books that you see in your school bookstore. Paperback textbooks are more environmentally friendly than regular hard copy text books as they consume less paper, ink, and glue products while being made.

To quote Ebay...

International Edition or Paperback textbooks of hardcover books are very common nowadays. The prices of international editions are much cheaper compared to hardcover textbooks. These editions generally have the exact same content as your regular US hardcover editions. The books usually have "International Student Edition" written on them.

Should I use "International Student Edition" textbooks?

Well we don't see any reasons for not using them. It is encouraged if you don't mind a paperback textbook. You could save a lot in one semester.

The book cover and isbn is different in the listing; is this right?

Yes; the "International Student Edition" textbooks have different ISBN and cover. So do not panic it is not the wrong book. Textbooks are printed on high quality premium paper with colors.

Are "International Student Edition" textbooks legal?

YES! Most publishers will label the books with 'Not for sale in North America'. However, this does not mean buying these items is illegal in any way. These textbooks go through a lot of channels before reaching you so it is generally considered USED textbooks, so they can be resell any where in the world.

Your school book store will gladly sell you your textbooks at the list price. Major online companies like Amazon are able to offer better prices due to the economy of scale in their purchases. Paperback textbook strives to offer international or paperback books even cheaper than major online sellers to leave more cash in your pocket

For example imagine that you need to buy 5 textbooks at $100 each this semester. That's $500 + tax going to your school bookstore!! If you buy from Amazon you will likely find a few deals and be able to get your books for around $400, not bad. Now since paperback textbook offers international textbooks for even less than the prices offered by Amazon your could possibly get away with spending only $300 for your books!! A savings of possibly $200!! Do you think that you could find a good way to spend $200 on something besides books at the start of the semester?

Some final words, start saving money each semester and buy your books online starting now!!
